MovePath tests
11 movement tests with one phone camera
The six mobility tests are the core set; the five endurance, balance and power tests come with Pro. For each one: what it measures, where to put the phone, and what the report shows.
Mobility Core 6
How far joints move, in degrees and centimetres. Tests that measure each side separately also show the left–right difference.
Shoulder flexion
Arm raised forward, filmed from the side. Trunk lean and upper-back arching shown separately.
Shoulder abduction
Both arms out to the side, from the front. Left and right angles and the difference.
Squat
Knee and hip flexion and depth from the side; how far the knees move inward from the front.
Standing forward bend
Standing on a step, how many centimetres the fingertips reach below the soles.
Straight leg raise (SLR)
Lying down, the angle of the raised straight leg. Left and right separately.
Lunge ankle
Shin angle as the knee drives forward in a lunge. One leg at a time.
Muscular endurance Pro
Reps done to a set protocol, counted by the phone to the same rule every time.
Balance Pro
Time held on one leg, and how much the body sways while holding.
Power Pro
Jump height and ground contact time from high-speed phone video.
Bar path
Where the bar went and how fast each rep moved, from barbell video.
What every test report includes
- An opening sentenceSomething you can read straight to the client, such as "This is the first test on record" or "12° more than last time".
- Change and trendRe-test with the same test and you get the change since last time and a trend chart.
- Left–right differenceTests that measure each side separately show the difference as a bar.
- Reference rangesOnly tests with a reference table we've checked against the original paper (shoulder flexion and abduction, 30-second sit-to-stand, single-leg stance) show age- and sex-based ranges.
- Photos stay on the phoneFace-blurred test photos go only on the trainer's phone and in the PDF. Report links mask the name, carry no photos and expire after 7 days.
Please note
MovePath is not a medical device. This test records measurements to guide exercise; it is not a diagnosis. App readings may differ from a goniometer, tape measure or stopwatch. Use them to compare the same client's first test with today's, measured the same way.
